SEOUL, Korea - January 25, 2024 - Dplus KIA has opened an official membership platform for its team using the fandom business solution b.stage. The move is designed to advance the team’s fandom business in earnest.

As Korea's leading esports organization, Dplus KIA operates five teams across games such as League of Legends (LoL), PUBG: Battlegrounds and Valorant. Notably, it stands as a traditional powerhouse that has won three championships, spanning from the 2020 LCK Summer Season to the 2021 LCK Spring and Summer. In a recent milestone, Dplus KIA became the first esports organization to launch its own design brand, Dplus, while also unveiling its new uniforms for the upcoming 2024 season.

Last January 18th, in anticipation of the team's first game of the 2024 LCK Spring season, Dplus KIA launched its dedicated fan platform (Dpluskia.bstage.in). Today, Dplus KIA will begin recruiting members in earnest. Fans who sign up will be able to interact directly with players such as Hwang "KingGen" Sung-hoon, Choi "Lucid" Yong-hyuk,  Heo "Showmaker" Su, Kim "Aiming" Haram, and Kim "Kellin" Hyung-kyu. The membership platform's community will also serve as the fandom's own communication channel, offering access to a wide range of exclusive content.

Fans will also get the opportunity to purchase a variety of member-exclusive merchandise on the platform and enjoy special benefits such as invitations to LCK matches and early access to online and offline events. Thanks to b.stage's global eCommerce capabilities, fans in 210 countries around the world, including South Korea, the US, China, and Japan, will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise. The membership, including direct access to the players, content, merchandise, and more, will only be available through b.stage.

"We have been exploring ways to provide more special experiences and benefits to our global fans who have shown us so much support," states Lee Jun-young, Deputy CEO of Dplus KIA. "We plan to make full use of b.stage, a solution optimized for the fandom business, to deliver fan experiences that enhance the bond between fans and players and enhance the brand value of the team."

"It is very significant for the global esports market that a major Korean league club recognizes the importance of fandom and strives to build self-sustainability," states Kiyoung Lee, co-CEO of bemyfriends. "We will actively support Dplus KIA in building a close relationship with its fans, increasing brand value, and establishing a sustainable business model through b.stage."

b.stage is a fandom business solution with all the features needed for global fan communication, ranging from content to membership, community, live streaming, and the real-time interactive feature known as b.stage POP. This has made it a popular membership platform, not only within K-POP and entertainment, but also for domestic and international esports teams. Currently, LCK teams SK T1, KT Rolster, and DRX are using b.stage to communicate with their global fans. Additionally, Dplus KIA has partnered with b.stage to enhance its global fandom business.
