SEOUL, Korea - June 5, 2023 (MON) - DRX, a global esports organization, is enhancing its fan communication and building a sustainable business.
DRX announced today (June 5) that it is launching a fandom platform with b.stage, the ultimate fandom business solution developed by bemyfriends. The platform launch is part of the organization’s efforts to strengthen fan communication and build a sustainable business.
DRX has operated four teams as one of Korea's leading esports organizations since its founding in 2012, including "League of Legends" (LoL), "Valorant," "Warcraft 3," and "Tekken 7." It has also made a name for itself in both domestic and international competitions, achieving every professional LoL player's dream by winning the 2022 League of Legends World Championship (also known as the LoL Cup).
b.stage is a total fandom solution developed by bemyfriends that provides all of the features required to run a successful fandom business in one place. As communication between players and fans has become increasingly important in esports, b.stage supports teams in increasing fan engagement and enhancing monetization opportunities for sustainable business growth. Several Korean and international esports teams have chosen b.stage as their go-to fandom business solution.
Leveraging b.stage, DRX has built a member-exclusive platform for its global fandom (fan.drx.gg), offering a wide range of exclusive services and benefits. Fans who join the DRX membership will be able to read posts written by the players and communicate with them directly via comments and emoticons.
Members will also gain access to exclusive content such as unreleased videos and photos, limited-edition merchandise, and dedicated communities. In addition, DRX plans to create a unique fandom experience by making its viewing party, D'IVE, exclusive to members. They will also host a variety of other events, including a chance to win an in-house cafeteria experience. DRX's membership will be available from June 5 for 8,900 KRW (approx. $6.73) per month.
DRX has prepared limited-edition merchandise for fans ahead of the 2023 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Season, which will be available on their b.stage SHOP. The membership packages include a special jersey, mufflers, a membership card, lanyard, membership posters, photo cards, and sticker packs. DRX will make their official merchandise available for fans to purchase using b.stage's global eCommerce feature, which supports shipping to 208 countries including the United States, China, and Japan, and Korea.
"We hope that through the partnership with bemyfriends, DRX team and fans can engage in deeper communication and become even closer," says Choi Sang-in, the CEO of DRX.
"It is essential for esports teams to develop a sustainable business model in order to run a stable business," says Brice Lee, co-CEO of bemyfriends. "Many large Korean and American esports teams are using b.stage to build their own membership platforms and reward their fans with special benefits. As a company that provides the ultimate fandom business solution, bemyfriends will spare no efforts to assist DRX in successfully developing a global fandom business based on our market know-how and expertise."
