SEOUL, Korea — June 4, 2026 — BBD (BIBBIDI), the in-house creative brand of global fandom business company bemyfriends, today unveils 'TEAM01,' the official character project of TAEYANG.
'TEAM01' is an official character project in which TAEYANG personally participated in original character development and naming. It features the main character 'YOUNGWON (01)' alongside sub-characters 'Re,' 'Gree,' and 'Blu.' The name of the main character 'YOUNGWON (01)' carries a special meaning: the '0' evokes TAEYANG (meaning "sun" in Korean), the '1' signifies the very first, and together with the wish to stay with fans forever — "youngwon," meaning "forever" in Korean — the name was completed. The sub-characters Re, Gree, and Blu are inspired by the three primary colors of light (RGB), completing the 'TEAM01' worldview.
'TEAM01' was conceived based on TAEYANG's artistic identity. The messages, sensibilities, and values TAEYANG has long shared with fans are reflected throughout the character's worldview, visuals, and slogan. The main character 'YOUNGWON (01)' is portrayed as a warm and wholesome figure, with signature visual elements such as a shimmering mane and small fangs that bring out a pure yet playful charm. Through the slogan "Little joys are enough. Big things can be a bit much," fans can connect with TAEYANG's sensibility and message in a more intimate way.
This project extends TAEYANG's fan communication — long carried out through the global fandom platform b.stage — into characters, content, and merchandise (MD). TAEYANG is one of the most active artists on b.stage, personally running an official membership and engaging with fans on a daily basis through direct messages and content that consistently convey his deep affection for them. 'TEAM01' is designed on the foundation of this authentic relationship, allowing fans to experience TAEYANG's sensibility and message more richly through characters.
Through BBD, bemyfriends connects character planning, worldview building, content storytelling, and merchandising to expand IP-based fan experiences in a multidimensional way. BBD previously introduced 'T1klz,' the official character of e-sports club T1, which drew an enthusiastic response from fans. 'TEAM01' marks the expansion of BBD's IP planning capabilities into the artist domain.
